NATO ISR Force Welcomes National Military Representatives from SHAPE

SIGONELLA, Italy - The NATO Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Force (NISRF) in Sigonella recently hosted a delegation of National Military Representatives (NMRs) from SHAPE, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe.

This visit served as a valuable opportunity to strengthen coordination between the vital intelligence gathering capabilities of NISRF and the broader strategic direction set by NATO leadership.

During their visit, the NMRs received briefings on the ISR Force's current operations and capabilities. They also had the chance to tour through the new infrastructure in Sigonella and engage in discussions with ISR Force personnel.

"The visit of SHAPE National Military Representatives was a fantastic opportunity to highlight the critical importance of shared intelligence and situational awareness across the Alliance," said Brigadier General Andrew Clark, Commander of NATO ISR Force.

"Through open dialogue and collaboration, we can ensure our ISR capabilities are fully aligned and optimized to meet our current security challenges," he added.

NISRF plays a critical role in providing real-time intelligence to NATO decision makers, enabling them to make informed decisions and ensure the Alliance's collective security. This visit underscores the vital link between intelligence gathering and strategic decision-making within NATO.

National Military Representatives are senior military officers appointed by their member States to represent their respective country at SHAPE, NATO’s strategic operational headquarters.
